Description:
The Tactical Aerostat Observation System (TAOS) is a continuous, day/night, long endurance, long range, low cost, surveillance system for both military and commercial customers.
The TAOS and miniTAOS systems consists of an helium filled aerostat, a two way communication fiber optic data link, payloads (CCD-TV, IR sensors and radar, laser rangefinder and laser illuminator are optional) and ground segment. The system is suitable for over-the-hill, mountainous terrain and urban area operations.
