Description: Kub, SA-6 Gainful Western designation, is a mobile surface-to-air missile (SAM) system intended to counter tactical aircraft. This air defense system was one of the most successful weapon systems deployed by the Soviet Union. During Arab-Israeli wars in the 1970s took out Israel aviation causing the lost of many aircraft. Kub is suitable against low to medium altitude targets at ranges of up to 30 kilometers. Missile launchers, radar and other equipment are mounted on tracked and wheeled chassis providing outstanding tactical mobility on the battlefield.
