Description:
The LD-2000 is a short range ground-based air defense system derived from the shipborne Type 730 close-in weapon system. China has developed the LD-2000 primarily for the export market. This weapon system utilizes an 8x8 armored chassis loaded with the 30mm seven-barrel gun and fire control radar at the rear section. The gun system is fed by two ammunition boxed each holding 500 rounds. The 30mm gun's maximum rate of fire is 5,800 rounds per minute and can engage airborne targets at a maximum range of 3,000 meters. Optionally, the LD-2000 can be equipped with short-range surface-to-air missiles.
