Description:
S-25, SA-1 Guild Western designation, was a fixed-position, strategic surface-to-air missile (SAM) system equipped with an HE or nuclear warhead. With a limited anti-ballistic missile (ABM) capability was the first such system fielded by the Soviet Union with the aim to protect the city of Moscow from western air strikes and nuclear ballistic missiles. These SAM systems were scrapped in the mid-1980s.
