V-75

Description: S-75, SA-2 Guideline western designation, is a surface-to-air missile (SAM) system intended for defense of facilities, field forces and high value areas. This air defense system is equipped with the V-75 missile. The Soviet Union sold S-75 SAM systems to Warsaw Pact nations and international customers. Iraq utilized the SA-2/S-75 air defense system against coalition aircraft in the Gulf War (1991). China's variants of S-75 are known as HQ-1 and HQ-2. Egypt also produced its own variant called Ta'ir al-Sabbah.
