Description: The Meteor will be a long-range, highly flexible, agile, air-to-air missile enabling engagements at visual and beyond visual range. The Meteor missile will be able to engage fighters, bombers, transport aircraft, AWACS, air tankers and cruise missiles using its INS navigation system, active radar seeker and countermeasures-resistant design. Meteor will be powered by a ramjet propulsion system providing a range in excess of 100 km at Mach 4.

The European Meteor missile features high maneuverability and a fragmentation warhead detonated by impact or proximity to ensure highly maneuverable targets destruction. The Meteor will be used by Typhoon (formerly Eurofighter), Rafale and Gripen as well as other advanced fighters worldwide.
