Description: The Python 4 is an advanced short-range, air-to-air missile that offers high maneuverability, high off-boresight IR seeker, a long burning motor and a large fragmentation warhead. The Python 4 missile achieved initial operational capability in 1993 and has been integrated on F-15, F-16 and F-5 fighter aircraft. It is in service in the Air Force of Israel, as well as in many other countries.

The Python 4 also features advanced IR counter-countermeasures and high performance against fast targets. It is being offered as a replacement for aging Sidewinder missiles.
