Description: Skyflash is a variant of US AIM-7E Sparrow missile used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) on its Tornado ADV/F3 air defense aircraft. Skyflash medium-range, air-to-air missile retains the basic characteristics of semi-active Sparrow missile. Skyflash missile was deployed by Tornado F3s during operations Desert Shield and Desert Strom in 1990-1991.

Each Tornado ADV aircraft carries four Skyflash missiles under its belly. In addition to the RAF, the Italian Air Force also procured Tornado ADVs along with the Skyflash missile.
