Description:
The AN/ALQ-184 is a self-defense electronic countermeasures pod used on USAF tactical aircraft. It operates in both receive and transmit modes to selectively direct high power jamming against multiple emitters. This system is very reliable detecting potential threats. The ALQ-184 is available in two-(Mid and High band) and three-band (Mid, High and Low band) configurations.
The combat-proven ALQ-184 is qualified for use on F-16s, A-10As, F-4s, F-111s, F-15s, A-7s and C-130s. The ALQ-184 was employed successfully during operation Desert Storm in 1991. The ALQ-184 was purchased by the United States and Taiwan.
