Description: The AN/ALQ-196 is a low band jammer designed to protect C-130 type aircraft from radiofrequency guided missiles. It features high effectiveness against RF guided missiles and reliability demonstrated during the last two decades.

The AN/ALQ-196 jammer has been selected by the US Air Force for integration on the MC-130H Talon II and AC-130U Gunship special operations aircraft. Previously, the ALQ-196 was integrated in the MC-130E Talon I and U-2 Dragon Lady.
