Origin

Contractor/s
Terma

Description: The AN/ALQ-213 Electronic Warfare Management System (EWMS) was developed by Danish TERMA A/S integrating and controlling electronic warfare self-protection systems. Originally, it was developed to reduce workload of Danish F-16 pilots, while ensuring optimized use of all onboard electronic warfare (EW) subsystems.

Its flexibility allows ALQ-213 to be installed on large transport aircraft, other fighters than the F-16 and rotary wing aircraft. The EWMS has been installed on the following aircraft: F-16, C-130H, AS-532 Cougar, CH-47 Chinook, EH101, A-10, F-111, C-160 Transall and C-130J Hercules II.

The ALQ-213 and the updated model ALQ-213(V) have been chosen by the United States, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Australia and Germany, as well as Denmark.
