Description: The Flight Guard is a cost-effective, fully automatic, modular countermeasures system designed for narrow-body and wide-body airliners against the threat that pose shoulder-launched infrared-guided surface-to-air missiles. Shoulder-launched missiles are a very popular weapon for terrorist organizations who try to shoot down civil airliners. The Flight Guard consists of a countermeasures dispensing system utilizing an advanced flare and an advanced radar system which detects should-launched surface-to-air missiles. Flight Guard and Airmor, both developed by IMI, share the same countermeasures initiator.
