Description: The Raytheon MALD-J is a radar jamming variant of the Miniature Air Launched Decoy (MALD) developed by Raytheon for the United States Department of Defense (DoD). The United States Air Force (USAF) awarded Raytheon a two-year MALD-J $80 million development, testing and integration contract on March 31, 2008. The new advanced modular decoy system had already completed developmental flight testing before the contract award and is expected to provide new airborne electronic attack capability. The USAF is expected to take the production decision, also known as Milestone C, in early 2011.
