Description:
The Elta Systems EL/M-2085 is a Conformal Airborne Early Warning and Control (CAEW) radar system developed for the Israeli Air Force CAEW aircraft program. Based on electronically scanned phased array technology, the EL/M-2085 represents Elta's third generation of AEW (Airborne Early Warning) since the mid-1980s. The radar system also encompasses intelligence gathering and airborne combat command and control functions. The first integration of an EL/M-2085 radar system on a Gulfstream G550 jet was announced in June 2007.
