Description:
The STARLite is a new multi-function radar developed and manufactured by Northrop Grumman for the US Army's MQ-1C Sky Warrior/ERMP Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. Basically, the STARLite is a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)/Ground Moving Target Indication radar intended for surveillance and protection of forces on the ground. The initial contract, valued at $42 million, was issued in April 2008 covering the delivery of 10 radar sets.
