Description: The TESAR (Tactical Endurance Synthetic Aperture Radar) is a high resolution ground imaging radar used aboard the Predator UAV ( Unmanned Air Vehicle) to provide information about enemy ground forces location and bomb damage assessment. It provides high resolution imagery even in adverse weather.

Northrop-Grumman is preparing new upgrades for the TESAR synthetic aperture radar. Recently it was successful deployed during operation Iraqi Freedom aboard the Predator UAV. There are plans to install the TESAR radar on other ISR platforms.
