Description: The Airbus A300 is a twin-engine, wide-body, two-aisle, short- to medium-range airliner capable of carrying from 220 to 360 passengers. It can be powered by either General Electric CF6 or Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines. The latest model, Airbus A300-600, has a 266-seat capacity in a two-class configuration and a range of 7,700 kilometers (4,000 nautical miles).
The Airbus A300F freighter is a derivative of successful A300-600 short- to medium-range airliner entering service in 1994. It can transport up to 51-ton of cargo (containers and/or pallets) over more than 4,800 kilometers (2,600 nautical miles). EADS EFW converter more than 125 A300 passenger aircraft into freighters.
In March 2006 Airbus announced that the company was ceasing A300 and A310 production by 2007 following growing demand from operators for the newest Airbus models such as A321, A330, A340 and A350. The last A300/A310 airplane on order, an A300-600, was expected to be handed over in July 2007.
