Description:
The C919 is a narrow-body single-aisle airliner being developed by AVIC1/Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) of China to compete with the next-generation Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. The C919 jetliner is expected to enter service after 2016 with the aim of selling up to 2,000 aircraft over 20 years. COMAC selected the CFM International LEAP-X1C engine to power the new jetliner in December 2009.
