Description: The C919 is a narrow-body single-aisle airliner being developed by AVIC1/Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) of China to compete with the next-generation Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. The C919 jetliner is expected to enter service by the end of 2018 with the aim of selling up to 2,000 aircraft over 20 years. COMAC selected the CFM International LEAP-X1C engine to power the new jetliner in December 2009.

The C919 first flight is planned for 2016 with the first aircraft to be delivered in 2018. The airplane has been designed to carry 158-168 passengers over routes of up to 4,075 kilometers.
