Description: The Embraer 195 is the latest member of the successful Embraer 170/190 family of twin-engine, single aisle, commercial aircraft comprising Embraer 170, 175, 190 and 195 models. The Embraer 170/190 project was initiated in 1999 with $850 million of funds allocated by Embraer and up to 16 international partners. The first flight occurred in 2002 and the airliner entered service in March 2004. Embraer estimates that the entire program could generate $15 billion in revenues in the next 10 years.

The Embraer 195 regional jet provides the higher passenger capacity of the Embraer 170/190 family of aircraft. The aircraft has a range of 1,800 nautical miles cruising at Mach 0.82 and carrying around 108 passengers. It has a wide aisle, large seats, and a passenger capacity of 108 to 118 depending on the cabin layout providing a high degree of comfort. In addition, the aircraft offers low operating costs and operational flexibility.

Embraer announced the launch of two new models to be added to its E-jet four-member product line featuring longer range and strengthened fuselage on January 25, 2005. The two aircraft are variants of 100-seat Embraer 190 and 110-seat Embraer 195 jetliners designated AR after Advanced Range. Embraer 195 AR retains 110-seat capacity and adds more than 300 nautical miles of extra range standing at 2,100 nautical miles (approx. 3,900 km) which means enhanced operating flexibility. Embraer 190/195 AR have structural reinforcements in the fuselage, wings, pylons and flight control surfaces that allow the aircraft to operate at higher maximum takeoff weight and maximum landing weight.
