Description: The Sino-Russian Long-range Widebody Aircraft is a twin-engine, wide body airliner designed to compete with the Airbus A330 and A350 and the Boeing 777 and 787 airliners. The new airliner will develop in partnership between COMAC of China and UAC of Russia. The aircraft will be able to carry 250-to-280 passengers over a distance of 12,000 kilometers. It is expected that the new airplane will be offered in three versions and its development will cost approximately $13 billion. Russia will develop the engines for the new airplane that will be assembled in Shanghai, China. The maiden flight in scheduled in 2022 and the entry into revenue service is expected by 2025.
