Description: The LAser Homing Anti-Tank (LAHAT) round has been designed to be fired from 105 and 120mm guns. The round/missile is directed through its target by a laser designator ensuring highly effective first shot at extended ranges. LAHAT has been designed to extend the engagement range of Israeli Main Battle Tanks (MBT) against enemy MBTs.

The LAHAT is currently deployed in the Armed Forces of Israel. IAI and Rheinmetall are offering an upgrade kit for Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 Main Battle Tanks enabling them to launch the LAHAT laser homing missile. The engagement range of LAHAT-upgraded tanks could be increased to over 6,000 meters.
