The Anti-Ballistic Missiles guide includes surface-to-air missiles designed to counter tactical to medium range ballistic missiles. These missiles were designed to counter specifically a ballistic target (Arrow II) or evolved from missiles originally intended to counter air-breathing threats (Aster Block 1) such as aircraft and cruise missiles.
