Description: The Bionix multirole Armored Vehicle was designed by Singapore Technologies to meet the requirements of Singapore's Armed Forces for an M113 replacement. It features improved modular armor for troops and vehicle survivability as well as technology insertion capability for future growth. The Army of Singapore awarded Singapore Technologies a $600 million contract for Bionix procurement. Bionix multirole armored vehicles deliveries started in early 1998.

The Bionix 40/50 armored vehicles features a two-man turret equipped with a 40mm grenade launcher, a12.7mm gun, and a 7.62mm machine gun. It can accommodate up to 11 soldiers and has been designed to complement Bionix 25 in the fire support role.
