Description: The EBRC 6x6 (Engin Blinde a Rues de Contact) advanced wheeled cavalry vehicle is under development at GIAT Industries and Panhard for the replacement of existing AMX 10 RC in service in the French Army. The ERBC armored vehicle would weigh between 16 and 25 tons, and could be a multi-spectral stealth design.

The NEXTER/Panhard new vehicle will be fully adapted to the digitized battlefield and the urban warfare. The ERBC will feature a crew of three-man, air transportability, a 40mm 40 CTA main gun, indirect fire capability through the use of an evolved fire control, countermeasures, optical fiber guided missiles, an electric transmission and an active protection system.
