Description: The Griffin II is a light tank being developed by General Dynamics Land Systems to meet the requirements of the US Army. The Griffin II tank can be airlifted by a single C-17 transport aircraft anywhere in the world in short notice. The 38 tons tank is equipped with a 120mm main gun and the turret design is influenced by the US Army M1A2 Abrams heavy armor tank. The Griffin II is intended to fight high intensity wars against peers such as China and Russia. The new tank might be fielded by 2025.
