Description: The MTU-90 bridge layer vehicle is a derivative of the proven T-90A Main Battle Tank (MBT). It has been designed to transport and lay a folding bridge over ditches, canals, and narrow rivers at the battlefield in support of armored units. Laying and recovering bridge operations can be done by the crew without leaving the MTU-90 cabin. The MTU-90 bridge layer vehicle retains mobility and protection characteristics of the T-90A MBT. It entered service with the Russian Army in the 1990s.
