Description: OT-64 was the counterpart to Soviet BTR-60 armored vehicle produced in partnership by the former Czechoslovakia and Poland. OT-64 is an amphibious eight-wheel-drive troops transport with NBC protection. It was powered by a single diesel engine rated at 180-hp allowing for a top speed of 95 kph on road. With a maximum weight of 14.5 tons OT-64 is heavier than BTR-60. Up to 15 troops may be carried in a dedicated compartment. The turret was equipped with 7.62mm machine gun or alternatively a 9M14 anti-armor missile launcher. Several variants were developed for roles such as anti-aircraft, anti-armor, recovery and command and control vehicle.
