Description: The AV-81 Terrex is a 20-ton class, amphibious, 8x8 Armored Infantry Fighting Vehicle being developed by ST Kinetics. It features high mobility, reliability and survivability as well as air-transportability by C-130 aircraft and reduced life cycle costs. The Terrex vehicle family also outstands by its future growth potential through technology insertion. So far, ST Kinetics is working on personnel carrier, command and control, 120mm (or 81mm) mortar carrier, recovery, ambulance, anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) and engineering variants.
The Terrex AV81 can transport up to 12 fully equipped infantrymen in addition to a two-man crew. Powered by a 450-bhp turbo diesel engine the Terrain attains a top speed of 110 kph on road. It can be equipped with a 30mm cannon or ST Kinetics Land Remote Weapon Station which is fitted with a 7.62mm machine gun and a 40mm automatic grenade launcher. For enhanced protection, the Terrex vehicle accepts add-on armor kits.
