Description: The Trojan will be an obstacle crossing vehicle based on the Challenger 2 main battle tank. It will be fitted with a dozer blade or a mine plough. A 7.62mm machine gun will be provided for self-defense purposes. The Trojan will replace current Chieftain vehicles. In March 2001, the Ministry of Defense awarded Alvis a £250 million ($446 million) contract for the supply of 66 Trojan and Titan vehicles in order to replace aging Chieftain-based armored support vehicles.
