Description: The TLVS is a state-of-the-art integrated air and missile defense system being developed by Germany as the replacement for the Patriot missile system. The missile system features strong networking capabilities. The TLVS is expected to engage a wide range of aerodynamic and ballistic threats utilizing the PAC-3 MSE surface-to-air missile. In 2015 Germany selected the MEADS as the basis for the future TLVS air defense system along with the Patriot PAC-3 MSE missile as the primary interceptor weapon. The German government is expected to award a contract for the TLVS integrated air and missile defense system in 2019 with the system achieving initial operational capability by 2025.
