Description: The Watercat M18 AMC, also known as U700 boat, is a high-speed, multi-purpose, landing craft designed and build by Marine Alutech featuring high transportation capacity and high maneuverability combined with effective protection and weapon systems. This craft is suitable for troops transport, medical evacuation, landing operations, patrolling and escort tasks. The vessel design is optimized for operations in archipelago, coastal and offshore environments. The propulsion systems consists of two diesel engines developing 660kW each with two Rolls-Royce 40A3 water jets. The vessel is equipped with a Remote controlled Weapon Station (RWS) provided with a 12.7mm machine gun or a 40mm automatic grenade launcher. The 19-meter Watercat M18 AMC is capable of maximum speeds of 35-40 knots. The boat's effective heating and air conditioning system allows to operate in climates with excessive heat or cold. In addition to the hull armor intended against ballistic threats, the ship is provided with Chemical, Bacteriological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) protection. The navigation system is based on the GPS and the vessel also incorporates radar, forward looking sonar, Automatic Identification System (AIS), Inmarsat-C satellite communications, data-link, autopilot and onboard camera monitoring system.
