Description: The CBU-94 dubbed 'Blackout Bomb' is a cluster bomb developed to neutralize electrical power infrastructure. This cluster bomb can be released from the majority of tactical aircraft operated by western countries. This weapon has also been referred to as the 'Graphite Bomb'.

The CBU-94 carries inside the BLU-114/B warhead which disperses carbon graphite filaments which short-circuit electrical power distribution equipment such as transformers and switching stations. In large numbers, the CBU-94 cluster bomb can take out the electrical power grid of an entire country without destroying it.

It was employed for the first time during the conflict of the former Yugoslavia in 1999 short-cincturing the electrical power infrastructure of Serbia during operation Allied Force.
