Description:
Griffin and NGLGB are smart bomb kits that converts dumb, unguided bombs in 5 meters CEP laser guided bombs (LGBs). The stand-off range of Griffin-converted bombs is about 12 kilometers against ground targets such as bunkers, entrenched tanks, armored vehicles and other hardened targets.
These smart bomb kits can be integrated into popular Mk-82, Mk-83 and Mk-84 bombs as well as other bomb types. Each kit consists of a front guidance section and a rear fins section. MBT, an IAI subsidiary, manufactures these kits which are combat proven by the Israeli Air Force.
