Description: The Embraer MidSize Jet, MSJ, is a business jet with an estimated range of 3,000 nautical miles (5,560 km) intended to fill the gap between Embraer's Phenom 300 and Legacy 600 business jets. The MSJ was launched along with the MLJ in April 2008. Development of both twin-engine aircraft is expected to cost some $750 million to Embraer. The MSJ is expected to enter service in the second half of 2012. The commercial launch of the new aircraft family is planned for May 2008 at EBACE in Geneva, Switzerland.

The MSJ and MLJ will offer an incomparable travel experience with the flat floor stand-up six-foot (1.82-meter) cabin and a stylish interior design developed jointly with BMW Group DesignworksUSA. A full fly-by-wire (FBW) flight control system will further enhance a comfortably smooth flight. Rockwell Collins will provide its state-of-the-art Pro Line Fusion avionics suite. Honeywell will provide the environment-friendly HTF7500E turbofans incorporating the latest technologies, in order to achieve performance requirements, with improved fuel efficiency, ease of maintainability, low operating costs, and reduced noise and emissions.
