Description: Embraer Legacy business jet is a derivative of successful ERJ 135 commercial jet designed for the corporate transport aviation segment. It is being offered in two versions: Legacy Executive and Legacy Shuttle. Both super mid-size jet models deliver high comfort and spacious cabin as well as high cruise speed and enough range for intercontinental trips. As of September 2005, Embraer had sold more than 74 Legacy jets to customers in over 15 countries.

The Legacy Executive offers first-class comfort for up to 16 passengers. On the other side, Legacy Shuttle offers business class comfort for up to 19 passengers or 37 in a high density layout known as Shuttle HC. Executive model features a range of 3,250 nautical miles (6,000+ km) while the higher seating capacity Shuttle no goes farther than 1,910 nautical miles (3,600 km). Externally, the Executive has wingtips for improved aerodynamic performance.

The Embraer Legacy Executive aircraft is priced at $22 million while the Shuttle models are priced around $17 million. Both aircraft are powered by two Rolls Royce AE3007 (AE 3007 A1E for Legacy and AE 3007 A1 and AE 3007 A3 for Shuttle) turbofan engines rated from 7,000- to 8,000-pound of thrust. The engines are located at both sides below the aircraft's tail. The Legacy conducted its maiden flight in March 2001 with the first production aircraft delivered to an end customer in April 2002.

On 8 November 2005 Czech Republic carrier ABS Jets purchased one Legacy business jet with the aircraft planned for delivery in the third quarter of 2006. ABS Jets took delivery of its first Legacy jet in July 2004.

On 9 November 2005 at the 58th Annual Meeting and Convention of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) in Orlando, United States, Embraer released that the Legacy business jet was adopting a new name: Legacy 600.

On 21 February 2006, Embraer announced the sale of two new Embraer Legacy 600 business jets to PT Ekspres Transportasi Antarbenua and an undisclosed Indonesian operator.

On May 2, 2006 Embraer announced two new sales of the Legacy 600 business jet in the Middle East region. In Beirut, Lebanon, Mr. Adnan Kassar, Chairman & CEO of Fransabank SAL and Chairman of the General Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, has acquired a Legacy 600. The aircraft was slated for delivery in the third quarter 2006. The second Legacy 600 jet was selected by Celtel International, a wholly owned and operated subsidiary of the mobile phone service provider MTC, based in Kuwait. Delivery was scheduled for the fourth quarter 2006.

On 17 July 2006, Kuwait-based United Aviation signed an agreement with Embraer for one Phenom 100, one Phenom 300 and one Legacy 600 business jet to be delivered in 2008, 2010 and 2006 respectively.
