Description: The OptSat 3000 is a low weight, very high performance Earth optical observation satellite developed by IAI/MBT Space Division for the Israeli space program. OptSat 3000 represents the third generation of optical observation satellites developed by IAI/MBT. The spacecraft is based on a small multi-purpose generic platform which is common with TECSAR radar observation satellite. The generic platform can accommodate a variety of payloads. OptSat 3000 is the follow-on for proven Ofeq observation satellites.

The OptSat 3000 satellite is fitted with Panchromatic & Multi-Spectral (MS) very high-resolution imaging cameras, sharing a common optical assembly and capable of simultaneous operation and the creation of Pan-sharpened images. It can be controlled by a single ground control station located at IAI/MBT Space Division and may serve multiple users simultaneously.
