Description: The SAR-Lupe is a high resolution space-based Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) network developed by EADS for the German Ministry of Defense. The SAR radars are being supplied by Ericsson featuring a 3 meters long antenna with a folding probe which provides radar imagery with one 1 meter resolution in all weather conditions.

The SAR-Lupe constellation will consists of 5 satellites with the first of them to be put into orbit in 2005 by a Russian rocket. The satellites will move around the world in three different orbits with an estimated altitude of 500 km.
