Description: The 130mm L51 is a 130mm tank gun demonstrator developed independently by Rheinmetall as the main armament of the next generation of Main Battle Tanks (MBTs) such as the Leopard 3. This tank gun could be provided to upgraded versions of existing tanks such as the M1A1 Abrams and the Leopard 2. The first test firings of the new gun are expected by the end of 2016. The 130mm L51 gun was unveiled at the Eurosatory exhibition in Paris June 2016.
