The German Army's PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzer is armed with this gun that provides a maximum range of 30 kilometers firing NATO conventional artillery shells or more than 40 kilometers firing rocket-assisted projectiles (RAPs). The gun provides high accuracy and reliability and is fed by an automatic loading system. The 155mm L52 artillery gun entered service along with the PZH 2000 in 1998. Rheinmetall also has made the 155mm L52 gun available for other self-propelled howitzers and towed guns.
