Description: The 1L122M Garmon is an upgraded portable radar system intended for Russian airborne assault troops. The 30 kg radar system can be installed either on combat vehicles or carried by dismounted troops. A single radar system consists of an antenna array, CPU, tactical display and a GLONASS receiver. The 1L122M Garmon has been designed to detect and track up to three types of airborne targets simultaneously even in heavy electronic countermeasures (ECM) environments. The Russian airborne assault troops were testing six Garmon prototypes during 2012.
