Description: The 2A46M, also known as the D-81TM, is a 125mm smoothbore main battle tank gun capable of firing anti-tank guided missiles such as Refleks. This gun system features reduced recoil and an stabilized gun mount. The 2A46M cannon was introduced in the early 1980s as the primary gun for the Red Army's T-72B main battle tank and subsequently the T-80 (2A46M-1), Sprut-SD (2A46M-2), T-90A (2A46M-3) and T-90S (2A46M-4) in the early 1990s. This large caliber cannon is intended to take out Western heavy tanks such as the US Army M1A1/A2 Abrams, German Leopard 2 and British Challenger which are fitted with advanced armor protection.
