Description: The 2B24 is a lightweight, cost-effective 82mm mortar system designed to engage enemy manpower and firearms at ranges between 100 meters and 6,000 meters. Manned by a crew of five-man it can be placed in 45-degree to 85-degree in elevation while delivering rates of fire of 20 rounds per minute. The 45-kg 2B24 mortar system can be ready to fire in 30 seconds. The 2B24 was developed by Central Research Institute Burevestnik as the replacement for the 2B14 82mm mortar introduced in 1980s.
