Description: The Burevestnik A-220M is a 57mm naval artillery system is an upgraded version of the A-220 naval gun designed for integration onto small displacement patrol ships and missile boats above 250 tons. The rapid-fire 57mm cannon features automatic command and control system and can engage airborne targets, surface ships and coastal targets. The provides a maximum rate of fire of 300 rounds per minute and can engage targets located at 12 kilometers horizontally or 8 kilometers vertically. The 6-ton aluminum alloy made A-220M turret loads 400 57mm 53-UOR-281U HE projectiles in the magazine, can turn +/-180-degree in azimuth and covers -10-degree to +85-degree in elevation. The gun system consumes 14kW of electrical power and the cooling system uses sea water. So far the A-220M is intended for integration onto Project 22460 and Project 22500 patrol boats, Project 12418 and Project 20970 missile boats, and Project SRK-2100 coastal defense ship.
