Description: The Burevestnik AK-176M1 is an automatic 76mm rapid-fire naval gun system designed for integration onto surface ships such as frigates, corvettes, patrol and missile boats. The gun system is an evolution of the 76.2mm AK-176M naval gun system and is intended to engage surface ships and airborne threats such as airplanes and helicopters as well as conducting shore bombardment. The 9.5-ton AK-176M1 features automatic command and control system, automatic selection of ammunition, 152 projectiles in the magazine, and stealth cupola. It delivers a maximum rate of fire of 120 to 131 rounds per minute and can hit targets at ranges of up to 15.7 kilometers. The mount covers +/-175-degree in azimuth and -10-degree to +85-degree in elevation. This naval gun system may be intended for export customers of the Project 20380 class corvette.
