Description: The ATAM system consists of two launching ramps with two Mistral missiles each to be mounted externally on helicopters. It is capable to engage aircraft, helicopters, UAVs and missiles even in high off-boresight conditions. Up to two Mistral missiles can be fired simultaneously by the ATAM system. The ATAM system is easy to operate and imposes few restrictions on the helicopters performance. ATAM has been tested on the Gazelle helicopter and will be integrated on the Tiger attack helicopter for self-defense purposes.
