Description: The Boomerang-BM is a compact unmanned turret developed by Tula Instrument Design Bureau (KBP) and designed to fit into a wide range of armored vehicles procured by the Russian Armed Forces such as Boomerang 8x8, Kurganets and Armata tracked vehicle families. The Boomerang-BM includes a 2A42 30mm automatic cannon, a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun with 2,000 rounds and four Kornet-EM laser-guided anti-tank missiles. It can be operated and fired by the carrier vehicle commander or gunner. In addition to the electro-optic package the Boomerang-BM turret is equipped with undisclosed electronic warfare or optronic countermeasures. The 2A42 cannon maximum range is 4,000 meters carrying 500 rounds (160 piercing tracers and 340 HE rounds) and can be elevated 70-degree. The 7.62mm has a maximum range of 1,500 meters. The Kornet-EM missiles have a range of 8,000 to 10,000 meters depending on the version.
