Description: The US Marine Corps (USMC) Expeditionary Modular Autonomous Vehicle (EMAV) is ground drone equipped with a 12.7mm CROWS remote weapon station. Besides, the tracked chassis of the EMAV drone features light armor to operate in urban warfare environment. Optionally, an AeroVironment multipurpose rocket launcher, known as multipack launcher (MPL), can be installed launching several kamikaze drones capable of neutralizing objectives at ranges of 10 kilometers. The drone has an autonomy of 50 miles (80+ kilometers) reaching a top speed of 10 mph (16 kph) operating in semi-autonomously and remote-control modes. The EMAV can transport a payload of 7,000 pounds. The USMC was testing the EMAV drone in September 2019 with the aim of a potential fielding in 2020 or 2021.
