Description: The G-Nius Guardium is a flexible, all-terrain, unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) intended primarily to carry out security of perimeter missions in airports, energy plants and borders. Besides, the Guardium is also suitable for force protection, combat support, combat logistics support, and convoy security. A single system comprises several ground vehicles, a dedicated command and control station mobile or portable, communications suite, a variety of modular payloads and a comprehensive logistic support package.
The Guardium UGV features autonomous mission execution; real-time, self-ruling, obstacle's detection and avoidance; proven fail-safe system; and superb off-road maneuverability. The modular payloads available for Guardium include: EO/IR camera, ECM/ESM, Hostile Fire Indicator (HFI), Missile Approach Warning System (MAWS), Laser Warning System (LWS), two-way audio link, chemical snifters, RFID Interrogator, and fire extinguishers. The ground vehicle has been demonstrated fit for service 24/7 and all-weather conditions.
The Guardium UGV entered service with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in mid-2008 taking part in security missions along Israel's borders.
