Description: The Hermes 45 is a small tactical unmanned aircraft system (STUAS) developed by Elbit Systems and introduced in June 2019. The Hermes 45 has been designed for launch by rail and recovery from a single spot either from land or maritime platforms delivering intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR). The new unnamed aircraft is intended to operate at the brigade and division level featuring an estimated range of 200 kilometers. The Hermes 45 aircraft can be outfitted with a variety of payloads including electro-optical (EO) sensor, maritime radar, terrain mapping, electronic warfare (EW) and communications equipment.
